Shooting with actors is alot more difficult than I expected. I was the director and I really enjoyed it but it was hard because everything gets so tedious. If an actor would move, even just slightly, then it would mess up the frame. Then, either the frame would have to adjust or the actor would. Also, in thinking about surroundings, there are distractions. We shot two scenes in a parking garage and a train went by, cars drove by, and people came in and out. One good thing, was that we did this late at night, so there were not too many distractions. But, it was still annoying to have to wait sometimes.
Being the director was really fun. I enjoyed communicating with the actors and everyone else on set. I think being the director was good for me because it showed me that I really enjoy doing that and it is something I might could focus on in the future. It was a great learning experience. I think I also like directing because I like acting and I think a director should have a sence of acting in his or her background.

Final Project: Script-Videography
In writing the script for our final project, I found it difficult to keep it short and simple. I had to constantly keep in mind that the movie is only going to be 5 minutes and it is hard to establish everything and have a proper plot setting in 5 minutes. I am still working to improve on what I have so that those 5 minutes can be the best 5 minutes possible.
Another thing that was hard about writing for a 5 minute movie is that it's hard to keep it simple. Everyone is so used to watching the best quality on tv. I myself have not seen very many short stories, so it's hard to think in simpler terms. I feel like you have to be more creative to come up with a short story than a feature-length film because in a feature-length film, you have plenty of time to establish things about characters and have a plot with lots of events. In a short film, you really have to think about a small, everyday problem that is unique. This has been a challenge for me and my group, but the more we discussed everything, the easier simplicity got. Hopefully, in the end our movie will be wonderful and the work will pay off!
